It's Been a While...

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth!  I'm still here, but have been soooooooooooo busy!  That is just an understatement!  But, aren't we all busy!  In some way or another we are.  My junior year is coming to an end!  I have to say that I am ecstatic about that!  Finishing some requirements is the only thing between me and Comp Care Senior Clinic!  But the scariest thing is I'm only a year away from graduating and never having a spring break/summer break/month Christmas break/fall break etc... LOL! I must say that I think I'm ok with all that because I will be done with school!!  After 24 years, I will not have to study for a test!  PRAISE THE LORD!!!  I do look forward to what the Lord has in store for Chad and I.  Who knows where we will be.  I know where I would like to be, but God may have other plans and I have to leave that up to Him!  I keep going over this verse in my head

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

It's so easy to worry about the future, but this verse reminds me daily that HE has it under control!  My husband reminds me of it too!  Probably more than I realize it.  Thank the Lord for a Godly husband who reminds me daily of who I need to turn to in the madness of life!

So this is just a little update on lif right now.  Hopefully, I can get back into blogging!  I have missed it!

Jewelry for Missions...

Recently, I decided I was going to start making my own jewelry.  I always have this certain picture in my head of a piece that I want, but can never find it in the store.  I started researching jewelry making and this is what I came up with for starters...

I am excited at how they turned out.  And the best part is, I had a lot of fun making them.  So, the wheels began to turn...I have been asked to be a student leader on the MCO Amazon Dental/Dental Hygiene Mission Trip that will be May 12th-20th.  I am really excited to be going back to the Amazon to meet the physical needs of the people there!

(my first extraction)

But most of all to tell them about Jesus!

(Our translator helping to tell the children about Jesus using the Salvation bracelet.)

Of course, these trips are not free, and when there are two of us going (Chad and I) it becomes a lot of money.  Like over $5000! YIKES!  That's a lot of money!  But we know that if it is God's will for us to go He will provide.  So as I was wondering where this money was going to come from, I had a thought.  Why don't I do something I have fun doing (Making Jewelry) and sell it to raise money for our mission trip?  This is not something I have ever done before, but I thought I would give it a try.
Please take a look at my...

This last picture is other beads I will be using to make more bracelets.

After I see if anyone will buy, I plan to add necklaces and possibly earrings. Prices will probably vary for these.
*If you would like a necklace before I add them, please email me and I will be glad to make one for you.

A year and a half...

I almost can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Only a year and a half.  We started back to school today and to say the least it was a long day.  Our Mondays this semester we are in class from 8-5 with a 1 hour lunch break.  I forgot what it feels like to sit in one spot for 8 hours! I will be taking my breaks when we are given them and walking all around to get the blood flowing! Kinda glad to be back in a routine, but sometimes I like making my own routine to get back into.  Also, I have learned that I have the computer from you know where.  Never failing the last 2 Christmas' a virus has attacked it right about the time that I am studying for finals.  I have always had antivirus software, but the viruses that attacked are always the newest and meanest!  Well, finally got that all fixed, but now all the stuff I need to work the first day back did not work and still is not working.  UGH! I'm hoping the computer geniuses at school can help a sister out tomorrow.

My grandma is here and we are watching Bachelor.  These women are nuts!  I'm so glad at this point in my life I don't have to worry about who God wants me to marry!  I am so thankful He has put a wonderful man in my life that loves me more than anything in the world.  Any who, here's to another semester hoping it doesn't kick my tail!

Christmas Day...

Since Christmas was on Sunday, we got up early to open presents.  My sister and I still get excited to open presents, so getting up early is somewhat easy for us to do...
Of course the children had to open theirs first...

Since I have been running around a lot with grandma lately, I had to get her a better rain scarf instead of the infamous granny plastic bag looking thing.  Now she is keeping her hair looking good in style!

Opening more presents!  I can't wait to use my new bowl that goes with my Christmas china...

And more of my Christmas loot...

Just so you don't think I left Chad out of this post, his loot was kinda boring bc he just got money for new custom sized golf clubs, and he was the photographer.

About to leave for church, sorry you had to see me when I woke up...
My hubby looking sharp!

After Christmas lunch at my mom's we headed back to Chad's parents to open presents with them!  Mr. Robbie got a back scratcher.

I got a Keurig!!!!  I have been wanting one since we had a girls night with some girls in my Sunday school class in Augusta.  Wynonna let me know they made more than just coffee K-cups and I was immediately
hooked!

We gave Mrs. Kay a new pocketbook with lots of compartments... and it will go with black or brown!  All the requests she made !

And then I got 2 coffee mugs to go with my Simply Christmas Christmas dishes!

We then watched a movie and I put my new Keurig and coffee cups to good use!  We had a very
 Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve...

Sad it's over, but glad for all the memories made.  This is how our Christmas Eve went...

Christmas Eve we went to the Christmas Eve service at my home church and had the Lord's Supper.  Such a sweet time to remember our Savior! Then it was off to eat the traditional Lasagna, salad and dessert...

Christmas at my grandma's with my mom's family is always a good time.  This year we played some Christmas trivia games...

Then it was present time!
Grandma racked up this year!  This is her digital picture frame.

She also got the hook up with a Kindle Fire, a Kitchen Aid and a cordless drill that she decided to buy for herself that morning when she had already told Cherri (my aunt) she wanted one for Christmas! Silly woman!
Opening more presents. We always go from oldest to youngest...

Not saying my mom is the oldest!

Maggie was just hanging out watching all the present be opened...

My aunt got some Ear bugs...

AKA Ear muffs without the connector.
Then this was my sister and my present from my grandma.  Before I could get mine open I hear, "oh my goodness, I'm gonna cry" from my sister and then my Aunt Cherri said "I'm gonna cry too".  I couldn't figure out why everyone was about to cry.  I could see it was a blanket, but really one to cry over?  Well, hers had a picture of her dog Lulu that she had to put down earlier this year.  So, that was what all the tears were about...

I think Cooper, her new dog in her lap, shed a tear too!
And then I opened mine, and there was Maggie...

It's crazy how clear the picture looks like in the thread of the blanket!
Well, that's the 2011 Christmas Eve
